Most food places in the upstate are MEH to put it nicely. However, this place is absolutely delicious. The ramen is always perfect. It's always hot when you get it-- which is rare in the upstate.

Placed an order for pickup (tried delivery but it wasn't working). Unfortunately I couldn't find parking anywhere because it was Friday at 7pm and the street in front of the restaurant was closed off. I couldn't walk very far because of a recent surgery (didn't affect my driving) but it did affect walking very far. I called Menkoi almost in tears to cancel my order and the man that picked up the phone was so kind. He calmed me down and asked what he could do to help. He continued to make sure I found a safe place to park and brought my order out to me almost two blocks away. Customer service goes above and beyond. There are still good people in the world.

You won't find better ramen anywhere- Japanese street food, everything done to perfection. Owners are super friendly and take care with their food and a lot of value for the money! Definitely a hole in the wall, under-appreciated spot!

I have to take a star away because service isn't always top notch. I've had to call them before and remind them to turn on online ordering and things like that. Occasionally we've had a wrong order delivered when we opted for delivery. But I keep coming back because nothing can replace the flavors of their spicy ramen with beef and shumai... so good.

For being a hole-in-the-wall type restaurant, this sit-down ramen spot is a perfect grab-n-go for some delicious ramen. Only $10, at the time that I went, for both a bowl of ramen as well as a drink. Along with the affordability, the ramen is packed with flavor and the noodles are cooked to perfection. The balance of flavor is done very well. The service is very quick with efficient staff that operate very smoothly. The decor is packed with Japanese-American culture, with different anime playing each time I've gone, and banners in Japanese hung around the restaurant. Very quaint spot!

Great little downtown spot for a date night if you're not sure what to eat. My fiancée and I always come here whenever we want a sure fire delicious meal that won't hurt the wallet. Service is always quick & friendly and I've never once left unsatisfied. Two of us can eat with an appetizer for under $25. Hard to find nowadays. The Spicy Ramen is always my go to. The broth is so full of flavor & they add the perfect amount of spice to make it hot but not TOO hot. One of these days I'll branch out and get something different! 5 stars all day long. Will be back soon!

This ramen place is great! Our ramen was only $10-$11 each and such a big portion. I love a great hole in the wall ramen spot. Living in Charlotte, most ramen places are just trendy and not affordable. This spot was exactly the cozy comfort ramen spot I was needing with this cold weather. - We also got the shumai and fried shrimp as appetizers. Service was friendly and efficient. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in town!

Came here on a whim and I am pleasantly surprised with this little restaurant!! I definitely misjudged how good the food was going to be and not to mention how tasty and unique the broth and pork was for both of our dishes. Friendly waitstaff, plenty of seating, serve yourself drinks, and food came out timely. They do have hot chili oil if you ask for it, it gives a mild but good enough spicy kick to any bowl. I will be coming back when I'm in town.
